Annecy-Genevois Hospital Center

Located north of Annecy, the Annecy Genevois Hospital Center serves the 145,000 residents of the Annecy metropolitan area and the Haute-Savoie department (700,000 residents).

The project

How did Module-it help implement the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan (DRP/BCP) at the Annecy Genevois Hospital Center?

The Issues

As a candidate for the title of “Digital Hospital,” the Annecy Genevois Hospital Center considers improving its information system a top priority. As a result, the hospital sought to establish a robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan (DR/BCP) and rely on a highly scalable solution capable of handling an ever-increasing volume of data.

The Module-it Solution

As a full-service integrator, Module-it took responsibility for all aspects of this modular data center project, from interior finishing to the layout of the facility, including the monitoring, supervision, and implementation of the technical infrastructure. The new data center is designed to provide the hospital with high availability and security, while paying special attention to environmental considerations. Module-it also implemented free-cooling technology, significantly reducing the electricity consumption required to cool the data center.

The strength of the solution

Module-it enabled the implementation of the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan (DR/BCP) for the Annecy Genevois Hospital Center through the design of this modular data center. The data center can double its capacity without any downtime or technical modifications. Furthermore, thanks to the DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) system deployed to monitor the data center, the Annecy Genevois Hospital Center will be able to predict and anticipate future developments.
